Read full description of the books:
Helen Pawson is intelligent, well-spoken, beautiful, dark-haired, and at 5ft 10in she has a figure to die for. She has had a very privileged upbringing with the most loving and attentive parents. Attending private school, she learned to appreciate the finer things in life, classical music, art and literature. She has had so much, and has wanted for nothing - or has she? Why did she suddenly drop out of University? What traumatic circumstances in her life have contributed to the mental illness she fights to control? Married for two years, why did she ditch her career in accountancy to become a hotel chambermaid - without her husband's knowledge? How did that lowly job lead her into her sideline - earning big money as a high class call girl, attending to the mostly perverted, needs of her clients - the very rich and famous, including film stars, politicians, celebrities and businessmen? Her loveless marriage has brought her nothing but hurt, mistrust, and embarrassment, but she soon discovers her husband's dark secrets, and one in particular, for which Helen will never forgive him! She remains in the marital home for one reason only - to keep the enemy close, wait, observe, and when the opportunity presents itself.....exact her revenge! "Going Up and Going Down" is the first novel in the "Goings On" Trilogy.

Ever since I was a small child I have wanted to write a book. I loved reading from the day I started school. As soon as I was seven years old I joined my local library and went regularly to select new books, but sometimes I would sit and read in the library.
Once I reached senior school, whilst I did still read a lot of books, I became more interested in mathematics, but I also achieved excellent grades in English Language. I enjoyed geography and writing poetry, although my poetry was more often than not, humourous and for my own amusement.
After leaving school, I gained qualifications in accountancy and spent most of my working life in accounts offices and being a company accountant.
I always intended to write but things got in the way; getting married, having kids. The kids became teenagers and an even bigger demand on my time. The career, the grandchildren.
Then the event that finally kicked my butt.....the loss of the youngest of my three older brothers. he died way too young and the plans for his future...gone in a whisper. We were very close and I was devastated by his death. Months later, when I was over the worst of my grief, I began to realise that if there are things we want to do in our lives we must not delay; do them now while we can. I started writing my first book, my life story which is called "Trying to Understand".
This is a work-in-progress and I have put it to one side for now. I started writing "Going Up and Going Down" last June and did 50% of the work by the end of August. Family matters got in the way during September and October and I didn't do any writing during that time. It was mid November before I started again and my book was finished (apart from 2 or 3 little chapters which were added later during the editing process) by the end of January.
I am now divorced and I consider myself very blessed to have my son and daughter, two gorgeous grandsons and three beautiful granddaughters.
I love travel and intend to see as much of the world as I can. I like reading, playing chess, doing cryptic crosswords and sudoku.
My favourite authors over the years are many, including Brett Battles, Dean Koontz, James Herbert, Simon Kernick, Linwood Barclay and Mo Hayder, J.K. Rowling and Agatha Christie. The Harry Potter books are my favourite books ever, pure escapism!
I enjoy all kinds of music, chick flicks, food and spending time with my family.
